Start & Finish
The start & finish of Marathon, Halfmarathon and 10km run will be on the Fayez Mansour Road, opposite the Umayyin Square in the shadow of the iconic Damascene Sword Monument. All races will start at the same time.

Marathon – 7.00 am
Halfmarathon – 7.00 am
10km Run – 7.00 am
Getting to the Start
All international participants will be provided with a shuttle bus to the start line as part of their travel package. The pick up times will depend on the hotel and the bus schedule will be available in the race office the day before the event. If you decide to drive to the immediate areas near the start and finish, you do so at your own risk as there might be road closures.
All local runners must check the starting area on the map before and give themselves enough time to walk or drive there. If you travel by car, avoid parking in the immediate areas to the start and finish. If possible book your taxi in advance to arrive at least 60 minutes before the start. Take into consideration that taxi service might be less accessible than normal on the race day.
Regardless of the means of transport, please come early enough to have time to warm up.
Run Number Collection
The Race Office will be located at the Venue hotel in Damascus (hotel name TBA) and all BIB numbers must be collected the day before the event (Thursday, 10th November 2022) from 3pm to 8pm.
PLEASE NOTE: All runners are advised to collect their own BIB number in person and provide proof of identity.
However, if you have difficulty collecting your BIB number, you can appoint another person to collect your BIB number on your behalf. In order to do this we need to receive by email your authorization with the person’s details. The person collecting you BIB number will have to show proof of their identity in the Race Office.
MEDALS, T-Shirts and Certificates
All participants who complete marathon, halfmarathon or 10km run within the time limits specified, will receive a medal as well as downloadable finishers certificate. The medals will be handed at the finish line upon race completion. The event t-shirt will only be provided for the runners who selected to buy one upon registration the the event.
Race Day Temperature
The temperature will be approximately 15-20 degrees Celcius at the start.
Race Timing
The races will be timed using “Webscorer” timing application. However, all runners are required to have their own timing device and show the time and distance covered to a member of staff when they finish. No time verification upon race completion means no official time on the marathon race results.
Drink Stations – Water
For all the distances there will be two water and refreshments stations – approximately every 3.5km. There will be also additional water station at the finish.
Toilets
Toilets will be provided along the course and in the park at the start / finish.
Medical
An ambulance and medical station will be available at start and finish. However, in case of an emergency please contact any staff member or volunteer along the route for any medical assistance.
Baggage Facilities
No baggage facilities will be available at start and finish so please bring only the gear you need for the race.
Entertainment
Live bands might be present during the event. However all spectators are welcome to support the participants along the course.
